Made with Love in Berlin: the egg slicer
Who invented it?
What is it?
A kitchen tool
How does it work?
In its original form, the egg slicer is a culinary tool made of plastic (now also aluminum or stainless steel) and thin wires. It cuts hard-boiled eggs into equal slices – perfect for sandwiches, salads or as a garnish. Incidentally, Willy Abel founded the HARRAS factory in 1907 in Lichtenberg, where the egg slicer was also produced.
